Apply online @ www.fafsa.ed.gov starting in Jan. 2016

Before submitting the FAFSA be sure to indicate the colleges that you want to receive your SAR.
If you do not have a Social Security number, you may not be eligible to receive federal aid.
Use the Texas Application for State Financial Aid. TASFA
'Award letter’ from the colleges that have received your SAR, will be based on the Difference between COA & the EFC.
Read the application fully before filling it out
Follow all instructions
Make sure it is complete, accurate and on time
Have all documents ready (tax, divorce decree, child support…)
Make & keep copies of all documents submitted
